Paul Wadsworth has travelled and painted extensively in India (“I fell in love with this country India, its colour, chaos, sacredness, serenity and beauty”) and the Middle East for more than 30 years. His paintings explore the amazing diversity of landscapes and cultures, from the temples of Rajasthan to the tropical forests and tea fields of Kerala. His clear love of the country, its people and culture, the colours, landscape, traditions, spirituality and opportunities for story-telling shine through in each and every work. “This is the work of someone who has immersed himself in these landscapes, succumbed to them, become intoxicated by them. He studied at the Ipswich College of Art and Design and the Falmouth College of Arts (BA Hons). Elected in 2004 to become a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists, he has also tutored at the same institution.
